Coming in July are two wonderful trips to Camp Comeca. The middle school campout will be the July 18-19 and the High School campout will be July 25-26. Be sure to contact myself or Noelle Ptomey to register and secure your spot at camp. These are spiritually transforming weekends which encourage cooperation and foster fellowship among young people from around the state. Look for information on The Happening in next months news.

During June the volunteers of St. Luke's and Family of Christ created a fantastic vacation bible school experience for our children and for we the parents as well. Thank you Jan Winsor, Toni Meyers, Lexi Giddings, Morgan Smith, Abbi Kolar, Nadia Sa'adi, Barbara Arram, Charlotte Bortolotti, Kathryn Falconer, Pauline Machard, Stephanie Burge-McGraw, Erin Becker, Kay Fyfe, David Clark, Susan Murray, Mary Kommers, Jamie Lewis, Shaun Clark, and Fr. Jerry for all your hard work on "Powerlab 2008"

The Youth trip to the Henry Doorly Zoo will be happening as this is coming out and I hope to report a wonderful time was had by all upon our return.

Buildings and Grounds

A quick note from the buildings and grounds committee.  We have been in contact with the church insurance group regarding the damage from the recent storms and have had a contractor submit a proposal and are waiting to hear back from the insurance group to start on the repairs to the church and fellowship hall.

Work is continuing on the water project on the northwest corner of the fellowship hall and should be completed in the not to distant future.

The church has purchased a commercial grade vacuum as the old one was on its last legs. 
There has been concern lately that items are being borrowed from the church and not being signed out in the log book in the office.  Please if you take something ie, tables, chairs, kitchen items please put your name in the log book, what you took, and when you took it.  this helps us keep track of things and if we need the item where to look for it.

Buildings and grounds meets the 2nd Sunday of each month at 9 am if you have a concern you would like to share please get with one of the members ahead of time or let me know.
